Before you start

Six things to do first.

Skipping one of these is the single most common reason an install fails.

  • Back up everything

    Installing wipes all the data currently on the phone.

  • Charge above 50%

    A phone that dies mid-flash can fail the whole run.

  • Unlock the bootloader (required)

    The flasher package cannot run against a locked bootloader. The Meizu Lucky 08 unlocks from inside the FlymeVN Flasher app; every other model needs an unlock code Meizu issues per device.

  • Have a cable and a computer ready

    Use a cable in good condition, plugged straight into the computer's USB port.

  • Pick the right build

    A file meant for another model can brick your device.

The install run

Five steps,
in this order.

Work through them in sequence, and do not pull the cable part way. If a step reports an error, stop and read that step again before carrying on.

  1. Download the flasher package and unzip it

    Pick your model above, download the installer (.zip) and unzip it into a folder on your computer.

  2. Verify the file

    Check the package hash (.sha256) against the value published with the build.

  3. Unlock the bootloader and enter fastboot

    The bootloader has to be unlocked already. Power off, hold Volume down + Power to reach fastboot, then plug into the computer.

  4. Run flash-all

    macOS/Linux: run ./flash-all.sh. Windows: double-click flash-all.bat. The script flashes every partition itself — leave the phone connected until it finishes.

  5. Cold boot it once

    Power right down for about ten seconds, then start it up. The first boot takes longer than usual (5–15 minutes) — do not cut the power.

Downloading safely

Check before you flash.

  • Check the hash

    Every build is published with a hash. A file that does not match is a file not to flash.

  • Only download from the project's own channels

    Builds are released through the project's channels; copies re-hosted elsewhere have not been verified.

  • Keep the backup

    Hold on to it until the phone has run steadily for a few days of real use.
