Before you start

Six things to do first.

Skipping one of these is the single most common reason an install fails.

  • Back up everything

    Back up before a first install; a FlymeVN update normally keeps data unless you choose to wipe.

  • Charge above 50%

    A phone that dies mid-flash can fail the whole run.

  • Unlock the bootloader (required)

    FlymeVN Flasher cannot write to a locked bootloader. The Meizu Lucky 08 unlocks from inside the FlymeVN Flasher app; every other model needs an unlock code Meizu issues per device.

  • Have a cable and a computer ready

    Use a cable in good condition, plugged straight into the computer's USB port.

  • Pick the right build

    A file meant for another model can brick your device.

Installation

Five steps,
in one app.

Flasher walks through each step. Keep the USB cable connected until the phone reboots.

  1. Download and open FlymeVN Flasher

    Download the Windows installer above, run the .exe file, and open the app.

  2. Connect and back up the phone

    Enable USB debugging and connect directly. Flasher reads the model; save important data before continuing.

  3. Unlock the bootloader

    Flasher checks the unlock state and guides you for the model. First-time unlocking erases data.

  4. Choose the ROM and confirm

    The app downloads the matching package and previews every step. A phone already running FlymeVN is offered an Update action.

  5. Let Flasher finish

    The app enters fastbootd, clears leftover COW partitions, and writes the A/B slots. Keep the cable connected until the phone reboots.

  • Use the official release

    The button above downloads from FlymeVN’s official release server. Do not run an installer rehosted elsewhere.

  • Confirm the model

    Flasher identifies the phone and checks the ROM package before writing. If you choose a model manually, verify it carefully.

  • Keep your backup

    Keep the backup until the phone has run steadily after installation or update.
